Dear expatriates,

The Ministry of Expatriate issues the “Expatriate document” to facilitate the citizens’ transactions dealt by governmental institutions according to the following cases:

1. Registering a marriage by a Syrian citizen.
2. Registering a marriage by a foreign citizen.
3. Obtaining a judicial record.
4. Obtaining a new passport.
5. Obtaining a Syrian identity card.
6. For any official institution asks for this paper.

Note:

• This document is provided to the expatriate in person, one of his parents, or legal guardian.
• To take advantage of this document to get the judicial record or obtain a new passport, it is required to have a valid visiting approval.
• In case you have finished or being exempted from the military service, you are issued this document directly, provided that you provide a document that proves you to be an expatriate.
