Syrian Expatriate Advisory Council
The Syrian Expatriate Advisory Council was created after the Second Syrian Expatriate Conference 2004. Its members are prominent figures abroad that represent the Syrian expatriates in all the continents. The decision of its creation defined its role as an intellectual body that presents the support and advice to the Ministry of Expatriates and helps in the implementation of the expatriate work programmes, and it also helps in presenting the expertise and intellectual resources to support the development process of all sectors in Syria.
The members of the council are competent figures recognized in their field of work and occupy prestigious positions in their communities and societies. The council is headed by the Minister of Expatriates, consists of 14 members, and has a secretary in the Ministry of Expatriate for coordination and following up its work.
The Specialized committees of the council are:
•Business and Investment Committee.
•Medical Committee.
•Cultural Committee.
•Community Affairs Committee.
•Youth Committee.
