To submit a visit, extending residence, departure or raising an issue application For the expatriates who want to get a country visit approval: The expatriate who is under the military service and want to visit the country have one of the following choices: 1. Filling in the application available on our website portal attached with the documents that prove him to be an expatriate. 2. Having any of his parents, siblings, or children submit an application for him at the Ministry of Expatriates in Damascus, Syria (the representative should have his identity card with him). 3. Submitting a visit application to the Syrian embassy in the country of residence. • Each Syrian expatriate has the right to visit the country for 3 month, once a year. • The expatriate is given one another approval to visit the country in the same year in exceptional cases such as: 1. The serious illness of one of his parents or siblings (proved by an official medical report). 2. The death of one of his parents or siblings. 3. Getting married to a Syrian citizen provided that he attaches the related documents. 4. Participating in one of the events and activities held by the expatriate associations. 5. Being officially invited by any of the Syrian ministries or institutions to participate in conferences, symposia, or lectures. • In case the expatriate could not benefit from the approval within the validity period for serious reasons, he needs to submit a new visit application (provided that he shows the reasons). • The expatriate can not visit the country before he is informed by the Ministry of Expatriates of the approval. Note: The approval validity period is /6/ month since the date of issuing. The expatriate is still able to visit the country before one day of the expiring date. The moment he enters the country (the visa date) he has a period of three months visit. The Ministry of Expatriates invites all expatriates to submit the visit application before six months of the intended day to visit the country /except for emergency cases/, and the approval is sent to the concerned expatriates the moment it is issued. Note: All the ministry’s services are for free and are fees free. |
